WHAT IS RIVERWOOD HOUSE?

20260528_143732.jpg

Riverwood House is a 40-suite Supportive Recovery Housing facility for those in recovery from addictions, facing unstable housing, and desiring a substance free environment.

Bringing together fully independent living suites in a communal environment, a human-centred approach empowers each participant to discover, pursue, and own their goals in recovery with the guidance of on-site navigators and connection to external supports, ensuring their support networks are built with resources that will carry with them after transitioning from the program.

Utilizing the My Recovery Plan platform, each participant will progress through a phased program that focuses on building their recovery capital allowing them to track their progress towards their personal recovery plan. We will follow a client-centred timeline assessing their readiness as the guiding factor for transitioning into healthy, independent living.

Faith &
Spirituality

Is Riverwood House a Christian Organization?

"Faded jeans and broken people welcome." This is the invitation extended by Riverwood Church Community, a non-denominational group in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Riverwood House is owned and operated by Riverwood Church Community, a faith-based charity, which has been active in the delivery of community programming and services in the Elmwood neighbourhood of Winnipeg for more than 20 years.   Riverwood Church Community’s roots are founded in Christianity, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Riverwood House, however, is not a religious organization with a faith-based secret agenda.

People from all walks of life and backgrounds are welcome to become participants of

Riverwood House without feeling like they must commit to this faith or religion in order to receive recovery and housing support. Nor will participants feel inundated with faith-based materials against their wishes.

WHAT YOU NEED
